FAQ

Where is TWIST made?

Right here in the U.S.A.

Our factory (and by factory we currently mean a beautiful garage) is in Atlanta, and each item is handcrafted at the time of purchase.

What fabrics do I use to create my TWIST?

Any fabric being offered in our current fabric collection can be used when creating your TWIST. Current fabrics appear on each product page in the fabric drop-down menu. If you’ve seen a fabric before but do not currently see it on the product page, this means that we have discontinued that fabric.

Please note that fabrics shown on a gift or ready-made item are not always available to create your TWIST.

Only current fabrics shown on the product pages are available to customize your TWIST.

Can I wash my TWIST?

Absolutely! What good is having a "coiled fabric necessity" if you can't wash it? All of our products are machine washable.

Simply wash your TWIST separately in cold water, gentle cycle, with mild detergent. DO NOT USE BLEACH. Reshape.  Air dry.

If your TWIST is too large for your washer, you can always spot clean.

What gives TWIST its sturdy shape?

We use high quality designer fabrics and yarns, to which we add polypropylene filler, giving each item its stiffness and flexibility. Polypropylene does not get damaged by water exposure because its moisture absorption is very low, making it an excellent hydrophobic filler.

Will my TWIST look exactly like the ones pictured on this website?

Every original TWIST is individually handcrafted by one of our highly skilled artisans at the time of purchase, to ensure the utmost in quality for your one-of-a-kind creation. Each artisan has her own style of making a TWIST, therefore, we can never fully guarantee that your item will look exactly like the items you see on this website. Depending on how the artisan twists the fabric, you may notice more or less of certain colors, and the dimensions of a single item may vary slightly depending on who makes it. We consider these variances part of what makes each handcrafted item unique.

The fabric swatches that you see on our product pages are photographs of the actual fabrics and yarns we currently offer. Every effort has been made to ensure that our photographs represent the fabrics and yarns as they appear in person.  Please be aware that the colors and tones that you see on your screen may vary slightly from the physical fabric depending on your computer monitor and settings.

How long does it take to get a TWIST?

Because each item is handmade at the time of your order, please allow up to three weeks for your TWIST to leave our factory. As we get rolling, this wait time will shorten. Additional shipping times will vary depending on which shipping method you choose.

Where can I purchase a TWIST?

We are currently an online retailer only. Please proceed to TWIST COLLECTIONS in the main menu to purchase from our product pages.

Can I use my own fabric to make a TWIST?

Yes. We are happy to use your own cotton or cotton blend fabric to customize your TWIST. Please contact us for instructions.

Can I put a logo on your products?

Yes. We can customize any of our items for your state/area/group with an appropriate color fabric and logo. Please contact us for order minimums and specifications.

Do you consider special orders?

Yes, we consider all of our orders to be special, and if you are interested in making adjustments to the products we offer to better suit your needs, or if you'd like to have something specific made, we invite you to contact us. We are happy to accommodate special orders whenever possible.
